Orphans aren't someone else's responsibility or those kids in the most remote part of the world. They are all around us - the church - the ones called to love God and love others. James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." God's heart is for the orphan. Yes, orphans are in orphanages around the world but they are also kids in the foster care system, some of whom are waiting to be adopted. There are many ways to care for orphans through our Orphan Ministry "One Less Orphan".
